Here’s a Springtime mani for you!
I tried one with painted bunnies and grass and well… it looked like crap. It also got ruined that same night. So here’s a simple skittle and stamped argyle pattern. My thumbs are orange.

Happy Easter everyone!
I’ve been really bad lately about buying lots of nail polish but not actually doing my nails.
I did manage to squeeze 2 in in the past few weeks of feeling like grim death (this is the cold that will not go away).

This plum color is some brand called Pro 10 that I can only find at CVS. It’s super cheap and the racks have been 75% off. I think they’re getting rid of it. I can see why. It took 4 thin coats to get it even but this lasted an entire week before looking really bad. I stamped with an old bottle (like over 10 years old) of L’Oreal antique gold. Ulti approved.

Sorry for the bad pic. I hadn’t had my coffee yet. This is 3 coats of Revlon Blue Lagoon and 1 coat of LA Girl Glitter Addict in Nostalgic (can be found at Rite Aids). The teal glitter isn’t showing up in the pic but it’s pretty rad.

November was so warm. I’m actually looking forward to some snow!

And yes, I’m losing my mind…

That deer stamp just wouldn’t work. I bet I tried 20 times until I got it all on the stamper. Then I went to bed and realized I hadn’t put snow on my trees and got back up and added it. Losing it, I tell ya!
I haven’t done my nails in a while, at least nothing worth showing. Finally having some time on Sunday night, I went holiday nuts!
White polish goes on so cruddy but a thin layer of pearl on top blended in all the imperfections. Then I stamped a candy cane stripe, did snowflakes and added some gems – and a top coat! I hope this one lasts for a while!

Hope you like it!
Do you plan on doing anything festive with your nails for the holiday season?
Back to nail stamping!
This is one of those Kleancolor polishes I wrote about a while back with a gold shimmer stamped on. I loved this mani so much!

from this Bundle Monster set of plates
I just did this with the same plate and the aubergine Julep polish. I added a gold pearl. Loving these rich colors and gold.

Soooo, I joined Julep. It’s one of those monthly subscriptions where you get nail polish. I found some codes online “FIRST5″ or “INTRO5″ that gave me everything you see below for $5. You take a quiz and are shown your “style” but I took the quiz over a few times until I got a pair of colors I wanted – aqua and chocolate brown. They also sent a full-size glycolic hand scrub, a sample pack of it and a sample of spf30 hand cream. Packaging was darling.

It’s Ulti approved!
So, before I even got my first box of goodies, it was time to review my next selection. If you don’t like what they show you, you request a “shelf pull” and in a day or so, they’ll send you an email with all the other options and you email back with the one you want.
Oh, and boxes after that first $5 one are $19 each and honestly, I’m not too cool with that. Shipping is free and you can cancel any time before the 25th of the month. You also get a 20% off code on any additional purchases and those will ship free. Oh, and $15 credits if you get friends to join using your link.
So, I checked out the selection for my next month and they were going to send me a killer mustard color with a makeup bag (don’t need) and a bronze plumping lip gloss (didn’t like). I didn’t know that other types of makeup were even an option with this company.
I requested the “shelf pull” just to see what they offered and they let me pick from all the other styles (same thing – different colors) plus an option for 3 polishes of their choice. I went ahead and got the polishes (dark blue, dark green and burgundy) but I’m not sure if I’m going to do another month. The initial $5 thing was awesome though and I think you should take advantage of it!
So here’s my Julep mani-

The application is really nice. I also added some Konad silver leaves.
I’ve been trying to come up with interesting color combos. This is grey with a red pattern (looks more purple) but I love it! Already some tip wear when I took the pic:

I also wanted to try red on top of aqua. This is 4 days later after cooking and washing dishes all weekend. The Konad stamper is pink so the red polish was hard to see so this didn’t turn out as nice as I wanted and; I should’ve turned the stamper around on a few nails so they’re not all lined up the same.

And lastly – those Incoco nail polish decals I got in my September Birchbox. What a load of poo. They don’t stick! They were completely dry and stiff. I’ve seen other people complaining about the same thing online but I was determined to have one accent nail. I cut it to fit, applied a coat of clear and held it on until it dried, then 2 more top coats. It wrinkled up on the edges and the whole thing fell off in 2 days. I’ve sent Birchbox and Incoco emails. We’ll see what happens. It’s a shame because they are cuuuuute!

So, what have you been doing with your nails? Do you wear different colors when the weather gets cold?
I haven’t been doing my nails as rabidly this time around. I’ve let each of these go until covered in chips. The bamboo one is still on because I’m changing my transmission fluid today so why bother?
I tried layering silver stamps of bamboo on top of the white on my left hand and it looks great IRL but didn’t capture in pics so this is why you’re seeing my right hand. That was a hard pic to take! :)

I’ve been dreaming about Konad eyeshadow stampers. Going insane over here.

ULTA Eye Popping Poppy with gold dots and 2mm gems:

yes! got a cat hair in the pic!
I put a topcoat over the gems so they lost their faceted look. The little nubs felt strange and I was constantly touching them. It took a few days for the 1st one to fall off.

The gems were $1.50 (free shipping) on eBay here.
