My bf’s friend from way back (military school in S. Korea) has the cutest pair of baby pink rhinestone flats I’ve ever seen and I don’t even like pink. She has a relative who owns a shoe store in S. Korea and her mom had sent them to her. They had rich details but she said they were super cheap. I had never heard of Good Choice (or GC Shoes) until this past weekend. These have some of the most fun embellishments I’ve seen on lesser priced flats. They remind me a lof of those great pink ones!

Most of these are available in multiple colors. They’re not exclusive to any one store so the prices vary wildly, but only a few online stores are carrying them. Different places offer different colors and sizes.

flats

Last December, I did a post about festive flats. I love heels but being a practical person, I love my flats. Recently, I had to throw away my favorites, a pair of silver round toed ones that were completely tired and worn out. My favorite black flats had the insoles oh so carefully chewed out by a dog and the replacement insoles I bought feel weird. All of my other flats have something odd about the fit or they don’t work for every day wear but I keep them around for certain outfits. These caught my eye on Shopbop today.

The Marc Jacobs mouse flats are still my favorites. One day, I will indulge myself. I mean c’mon!!!!

Marc by Marc Jacobs – Mouse Flats

BE and D – George Town Mary Jane Flats with Studs

Juicy Couture – Jam Studded Ankle Wrap Peep Toe Flats

Jeffrey Campbell – Suede Zipper Ruffle Ballet Flats

(The grey is swell too. I think I would get the most wear out of these.)

happy feet

I recently saw a woman walking with deep suede fuchsia flats on, black tights and grey tweed wide-leg cuffed pants. I didn’t see what she had on top since I was too busy admiring her feet and wishing I had a camera. It was wintry and warm but lighthearted and a nice departure from obscene heels and well, skinny legs. This woman was stylish and comfortable… an A+ in my book.

A pair of bright flats could also perk up a little black dress… something we all have… and make it feel entirely new.

Here are my faves – all from Zappos. (They have the prettiest pictures!) :)

Kate Spade – Pappilon

French Sole – Virgo

daniblack – Mimosa

Gabriella Rocha – Celena

Marc by Marc Jacobs – 684114

Marc by Marc Jacobs – 683189

Sigerson Morrison – 9080

Missoni - LM106H

Elie Tahari- Janine

Taryn Rose – Bowden

Steve Madden – Kerrii

Stuart Weitzman – Bolshoi
