I was reminded today that I have a blog! A blog I pay good money to run, that I have been neglecting. So, I guess it’s time for an update.
First off, it’s 8:30pm on a Thursday night. I’m curled up in bed and running on 1 hour of sleep. This is becoming a regular thing these days since I’ve been seeing a magical man for the past few weeks who works nights. It’s worth it.
IT’S OFFICIAL – my dad is not building my house. We finally FINALLY got the building permit application approved and then found out it will cost upwards of $25K to connect the house to water/sewer due to a logistical nightmare. This has blown my budget – a budget I was iffy about to begin with. My friend Mike is a realtor and listed the cursed lot last week and that’s that. I returned the house numbers I bought, as well as the 2 shower rods and extra shower curtain. I still have 3 faucets and cabinet pulls, which I may end up using in the house I buy so, I’ll hold on to them for a bit.
Today, I put an offer on a house… a cute little renovated perfectly priced 2 bedroom 1.5 bath 1100 sq. ft. bungalow in a super convenient but tucked away location in the city. It’s a short sale and god knows how this will play out with the bank and a home inspection but… I’m ready to move on.
Home sweet home?
And for the most important news, I’ve figured out the wrinkle miracle! A combination of StriVectin-SD and H2O Hydrating Treatment. My wrinkles have almost completely disappeared. (StriVectin products are currently at TJMaxx/Marshalls, since the brand has redesigned their packaging so… get on it!) I haven’t broken out in almost month of using nothing but this combo!
Crazy expensive but deals can be had. Also, trial sizes (above) are widely available online and worth giving a shot. A little goes a long way.
This oil-free blue gel is divine. My skin feels completely hydrated and dewy all day. Ulta has a set for $7 more than the 1.7oz single with a face wash and eye treatment that are great as well!
I start my back piece on May 29, a Thursday. I’m leaving work early to get the outline done in hopefully 4 excruciating hours. Then, I have to go to work on that Friday in pain and frost 100 cupcakes for a wedding I’m attending on Saturday. I am the most stupid women on the planet and I’m having a bit of anxiety over the whole thing.
After looking at my existing symmetrical floral tattoo, we decided dogwood branches would be too busy and a full frontal deer head would make breaking up and incorporating the existing piece a challenge. Now, the deer will have regular antlers and will be an angled profile with a semi circle wreath of my mom’s favorite flowers. Hard to describe but it’s going to be rad and of course, I’ll keep you posted with pics!
That’s all I have for now!
