So where do you spend 40 hours of your week?
I know what every piece of paper in that picture is, and really, it IS organized, but I can’t begin to describe how upset this makes me, being an organizational freak. Everyone I work with in litigation has the same thing going on in their area (I’m not a pig, it’s the nature of the beast) but I can’t tolerate it. My goal next week is to stay late every day getting my boss’ time in and getting this mess under control. I just don’t have the time during the day.

I spend my 40 in a similar looking cube, sans the piles of paper. I have 2 smaller piles. One of things to do and another of things I need to file away somewhere…

lol. well i am glad you know where everything is! my desk is kind of messy at work, too. my desk at home is A DISASTER. i have tons of books, tons of bills, TONS of magazine clippings that i need to file or toss. oh. and about 40 articles of clothing draped over a chair that i really need to hang up. and probably 6 pairs of boots lying around that need to be put away. i need to clean this weekend. i HATE cleaning as it takes me hours and hours, and i resent it. but i like a clean house. argh. if only i could afford a maid!
