Taking care of business you guys!
January is about to kill me but I’m getting stuff done. I didn’t have a real list of New Years resolutions but instead, a long list of things that simply needed to get done.
- read 3 books in less than a week
- hooping
- took Ulti & Nibbles to the vet – Ringo is next
- Got worked on for 2 miserable hours at the dentist and I’m not even halfway done. 9 shots of novacaine later, I got some fillings and a deep cleaning below the gum line on the right side. I really don’t want to admit how long it’s been since I’ve gone to the dentist. I grind my teeth at night and because of that, my gums have receded in spots, leaving small cavities along the gum line.
Next, I have to
- take Ringo to the vet on Saturday
- go to the lady doctor for my annual on Monday
- get my oil changed some time in February
- get Valentine treats for everyone
- back to the dentist on March 15th for the left side
- schedule a normal cleaning
- get my teeth whitened at a medi spa (cheaper)
- get a mouth guard
- my 33rd b-day is on March 23rd and we’re going to see The Hunger Games movie! Can’t wait!

eek! that is a long (and expensive) list of things to do! i hope the vet trips are cheaper than the dentist trips! ugh!
did you see the swedish version of GWTDT? so good. i just loved them. the american version is pretty good, too. and, of course, so are the books! :)
Oh my lord the money! The vets have been cheap thank god. The dentist is ridiculous. My mom is helping but I’m paying her back.
Yes! I saw the Swedish GWTHDT. LOVED it. The brutality was so hard to watch though. I’m not even gonna bother with the American version. Mom is listening to the audio books and I think I may listen to them in the car too.
Thanks for the Nibble compliment. She weighs 17lbs and was a stray rescue. Vet is convinced she has Maine Coon in her.

Ugh. Dentists. I have had dental insurance through my job for 4 years now, but I keep putting off going to the dentist because s/he is just going to lecture me about why I haven’t been to the dentist for SEVEN years. Also, my two top wisdom teeth are all the way in and the bottom ones are making their way up. But I have decided that 2012 is the year I Go to The Dentist, haha. I should probably also take Stella to the vet just for a check-up. She hasn’t been in since she got her kitten shots 3 yeas ago, whoops. I’m a terrible cat momma.

You’re not a bad cat mom! She’s an indoor cat and in all honesty, she probably didn’t need half the things she got, especially if you’re not bringing strange rescue cats in all the time. The rabies thing is a legal issue in Virginia and that’s really all I worry about now – not like the cat cops are gonna kick down the door or anything.
Good luck with the dentist. It’s really better to just go and get it over with. The looming over my head weighed so much. I feel better getting it all over with.

2. We didn’t go to the dentist for a really long time either. And then they screwed up our bill, tried to charge us $700 that we didn’t owe and so I canceled my appointments until they worked that shit out. So now in February I get to go back. I hate the dentist.

Thing is, I don’t think my issues would’ve been any less if I had gone to the dentist more. I think I would’ve just GONE MORE which would’ve sucked MORE!
