I’ve been slacking on the blog lately… really at life for about a week.
I finally got the first of The Hunger Games books and the hula hoop in the mail last week. Let me just say, hula hooping is hard y’all!
10 minutes into my first try and I was sweating and felt it all over! I’m still having a hard time keeping it up for any great amount of time but I try to catch it before it slams on the floor and whip it back around me immediately so, I can feel it in my back, shoulders and arms. I slacked this weekend on it though because…
OMG The Hunger Games! I started with a goal to read a chapter a night. That lasted until Friday evening. Sunday morning I was at the store getting the second one and this morning, I got the 3rd one. I’m plowing through them and love them so so much. I’ll be sad when it’s all over.

HUNGER GAMES! Oh man, Lara. Seriously. I did the same thing. I bought the first one for my Nook b/c GoogleBooks had it for, like $4.50. And I read it in less than two days. And so I bought the second & third and read them in record speed! Now I want to re-read them! And I want to make the Mister read them! And I cannot wait for the movie b/c if there was ever a book that was DESTINED to be an awesome movie, it is The Hunger Games. I hope it is as awesome as I’m hoping.
Also! Hooping? How fun! Did you order a kit? What are you doing? I just ordered 3 new DVDs from Amazon b/c I’ve been a slug since my injury and I need to get over that, but I’ve done the DVDs I have soooo many times that even though they are still effective, I’m bored. But hooping always looks like so much fun!

Have you seen the trailer? It’s on YouTube. Woody Harelson plays Haymitch and I think Lenny Kravitz is playing Cinna. The rest are unknown to me. So flippin stoked about the movie!
I just ordered a $10 hoop off Amazon that breaks down into 8 pieces. As soon as I can keep it up for any amount of time, I may get a DVD. I want to try Zumba or some other Latin dance DVD. They look like fun!

I almost ordered a dance DVD from Amazon, but then I remembered that while I am a pretty good dancer just out on the floor, doing my own thing, I am not so good at following steps. And when it comes to those DVDs, I get frustrated b/c I can’t keep up or because I keep messing up the footing. I am not coordinated, haha.
