So here’s that Zoya Pandora polish I got in the July Birchbox.
I just did my toes with NYX Juliette so I got a teeny paint brush and poured a bit in a paper cup and tried a dot gradient. My left thumb got the treatment too. It didn’t turn out like I had imagined but oh well.
And let me just say that the Zoya polish was utter crap. Even with a base and top coat I had major tip wear and chips in a day! It’s a great polish if you plan on adding something extra to your tips like what “SkyGirl” from the blog Up in the Air did with her Zoya polish and it looks great! (follow her!)
OH and LET ME TELL YOU!
I saw on a nail blog I can’t remember, some gorgeous polish colors from a brand I’d never heard of – KleanColor. The best place to purchase is a site called Beauty Joint. They’re $1.75 a bottle, come in a TON of colors… colors I’ve never seen before, and the shipping was cheap and fast!
I picked these 3 to start with:
from left: 236- Chunky Holo Black, 104- Fashionista, 130- Starry Meteor
I swatched them over that Zoya:

They go on really nicely. That’s 2 coats on each nail. I’m hooked!
I figured the Chunky Holo Black would look great over dark polish. So here’s my current mani. LOVE IT! It changes in the light from blue to green to orange.
base coat, 1 coat Wet ‘n’ Wild Black Creme, 2 coats KleanColor Chunky Holo Black, Seche Vite top coat

I saw the Zoya polish at Whole Foods this weekend and I paused, but I’m glad I didn’t buy it if it is so bad. Have you seen the Butter polish? It’s $14 which makes me want to cry, but they have such pretty colors. I really like the silvery glitter polish you got.
I doubt it’s all Zoya polishes because SO many nail bloggers love the stuff. I just can’t see myself spending that much money on a nail polish! It’s insane to me! Butter has the most gorgeous colors! OMG! And yeah, $14 is insane! I would check out the KleanColor stuff. They have so many colors, you may find a Butter dupe in there!
Okay I just ordered 3 polishes. I got one that is silver with stars that I hope lives up to my expectations.

The polishes with the big shaped glitter are a lot of fun. Sometimes you have to dig out and position them with a toothpick though!
Yeah, I was going to say, I have a few Zoya polishes (I’ve tried one of them I think) and it was pretty good…. and I’m typically lazy and JUST do polish since I find base & top coats make it easier to peel off… and it stuck around a good few days.
That being said, I actually really like the gradient you have going on with the dots! It’s cute and unexpected. You’ve actually been inspiring me to do my nails more… I’m DYING to try that gradient glitter look.
Yeah, I can’t bash the whole brand. This was just a dud (maybe why they were given away?). That glitter tip mani is so easy. You don’t even have to do a metallic base on the tips, just glitter slowly built up. Can’t wait to see more of your nail polish adventures!
