Today we went to the SOJ market. It was hot as hell and we ate delicious grass-fed burgers with spinach, caramelized onions and blue cheese from Belmont Butchery’s cart Meat on the Street in the blistering sun. I was charmed by the old man who sells honey and ran into a few friends. Then we went to the SPCA for a kitten but none of them were doing it for me, except for this one little boy cat but I really want a girl.

I am so short-waisted! With most of my jeans being low-slung I sometimes forget where my real waist is. It’s up there!

SOTJ looks so fun! I’ve been hearing about it on Twitter and I think I’m going to have to check it out (hopefully some day when it isn’t so hot). And I love your skirt. I want one so badly, but I’m super short and haven’t been able to find anything just right. I’m also excited for you to get a kitten so I can have more adorable pictures to look at :)

I love that market! It keeps getting bigger and better! There’s fresh flowers, plants for your garden, fruits, veggies, breads, desserts, local honey, coffee, drinks, pet stuff, craft stuff, ethical meat you buy frozen and vacuum packed to make it home, food carts. Yeah. Love it! It ends at noon so you gotta get there early when it’s still cool. We got there super late and just about died.
I’m 5’3″ so I feel your pain on the long skirt. I got that one from F21 and washed it and dried it on hot to shrink it and still have to wear some low heels with it. You can always get something hemmed for like $10. It’s so worth it.
Yay kitten! They have a foster program and I think you have to take a 1.5hr class at the SPCA to get approved to be a foster. That’s what I’m gonna try to do! Raise it and keep it! I have to send the lady an email.

The short-waisted thing is so weird. I’ve gotten so used to wearing things on my hips over the past 5-10 years… longer tops, etc. I feel kinda silly when I wear things at my natural waist.
