  • New favorite lipstick – M.A.C. Cremesheen in Party Line. It’s an easily wearable and universally flattering red/plum. I used to have the same color by Max Factor eons ago and wore it every day. So happy to find this shade. Oh, and I’m back to being an eBay nut. Got this brand new for like $7.

taken w/ flash so, it’s a bit darker irl

  • On Saturday, we slept until after 5pm! Well, the Comcast guy came around 9, got back in bed, woke up, made omelets, ate in bed, went back to sleep, woke up, made sandwiches, ate in bed, went back to sleep… finally got up after 5. We then went for a late dinner (10pm is late for us) at Balliceaux, and then stayed up until almost 5am. I felt like a teenager and it was pretty great.
  • I’m totally making Nutella Banana Coconut Hot Pockets tonight.
  • An interesting take on dealing with nasty hateful people.
  • A Day in the Life of a House Cat – are you kidding me!?

  • Speaking of classy broads, Elizabeth Taylor died on my birthday. I was actually pretty bummed out about it. Apparently she requested her casket be brought to the funeral 15 minutes late. Gotta love it.
  • Speaking of birthdays… I am done with celebrating them. Seriously. I may plan on doing something indulgent for myself, by myself, that I can definitively look forward to like a mani-pedi or massage. That’s it.

*dying laughing* — I read the name of the lipstick as Panty Line at first!

Ooh, now I’m coveting this lipstick. I think it would work on me, don’t you? All of my lipsticks are worn down to sad nubs.

And I’m with you, I just want to do something nice for myself on my birthday but I’m kind of over celebrating. It doesn’t help that Lulu was born on my birthday.

Sharing birthdays is the worst, even if it’s with a holiday! I have a few friends who were born on x-mas, new years, etc. Yeah, we’re not kids anymore. The expectations always ruin me.

That lipstick would be great on you! It wears so nicely. If it looks too intense I just blot and it’s perfect. It also lasts pretty well, and fades evenly too!

Happy Belated Birthday! I hear you on not wanting to celebrate. I don’t either, anymore. And I am going to Mac tomorrow! That lipstick is divine and I think it might work for me!

Thank you my dear! I’m getting too cranky to get my hopes up!
Let me know if you get the lipstick. It goes on a bit dark then wears beautifully! I love it!

Happy Belated Birthday!!

And I do love that Liz Taylor arrived fashionably late to her own funeral.
