- What are you planning for the dreaded Valentine’s Day this year? I made the bf a card and I’m cooking a big dinner to be enjoyed peacefully at home. That’s about it. I’m seeing so many cute ideas for garlands and decorations on blogs but I just don’t have in it me this year.

- My left ear has been clogged for a week. At times, it has sounded like tiny gnomes were partying in my head – for hours. I finally broke down and took decongestant (kinda helping) but I hate the way they make me feel. Cross your fingers this doesn’t turn into an infection = trip to the doctor, the epic battle of antibiotics vs. birth control pills, Diflucan. Ugh.
- It’s so stupid to stress over something that’s months away but hey, it’s how I roll. The bf’s parents want to come meet my parents this Spring before they move to Germany. No biggie. Thing is, my dad and I have lots of renovating projects we have been planning (and procrastinating on) at my parents’ house. I need to get on it. AND do you know what the white-glove cleaning standards of a Korean woman are?! Holy crap. The best thing to do to maintain any respect from her is to pretty much kill yourself for a week cleaning every crevice of your home with bleach and q-tips and then when she comments on how clean everything is, say “Oh, it’s a mess!” I have to do this at 2 homes.

You know, he’s really great about doing stuff around here – I just have to ask. Timing is crucial – definitely not when he’s in the middle of something or tired or stressed. Wish he could help me at my folks’ house too! Ugh!

Darling save yourself the stress and hire someone. Trust me, the cash is worth the unfrazzled nerves. Even when I can’t afford it I find a way to afford it for occasions like this. At least your place.

omg I so wish I could do it for my family’s house! I’m starting on stuff that has lasting effects like polishing the silver in the living room. I’m going to go ahead and rip out the carpet upstairs myself. If I start something major, my dad will finish it! I’m going to ignore things the woman has no business looking at like inside cabinets. To hell with it! I’m human!
