I have been a big fan of L’Oreal’s HIP line of cosmetics – super saturated, bold modern colors, easily accessible, and affordable. So, is it getting discontinued or what? CVS has about 1/2 of their products on 75% clearance and there was talk online a year ago about them ending.
On the L’Oreal site, it looks as if they’re just changing the name and adding “Studio Secrets Professional” to the packaging and removing “high intensity pigments”. I’m not sure if all the colors are still going to be available so, stock up on your favorites in the old packaging while they’re super cheap!
My faves:
this is the loose eyeshadow in INTREPID – it’s a shimmery deep brown with green flecks – great for an unexpected smokey eye with a color-changing quality in bright light – I want every color but the pink and pearl.
liquid lipcolor in PRECARIOUS – intense orange!
creme eyeliner in EGGPLANT – this is great to intensify liquid eyeliner and cover up any imperfections – the brush is really stiff and I didn’t like it at first but I’ve now made it work to my advantage – this stuff doesn’t budge!
presso gloss in SNAZZY – not as intense as the lipcolor but still bold, not sticky, strange delivery (can use one color or both at the same time) but fun
I grabbed some eyeshadow duos (totally don’t need anymore eyeshadow but at 75% off, I couldn’t resist!) Haven’t tried them out yet.
