Contemporary art’s job is to wreck whatever came before it, and from the very beginning after the Old Masters, from then on, each generation wrecked that. That something is pretty and beautiful is probably the worst thing that you could say today in contemporary art about something, unless it’s so pretty it’s nauseating.
- The Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear shows just will not quit. There was fashion week in NY, London, Milan is almost done, then there’s Paris, LA, and Seoul ending on October 28th. One more month! I have been slowly working on a big Spring post as the shows go online. It’s turning into a massive mess. One word. NIPPLES. I have seen so so many.

You know the creamy insides of those Ferrero Rocher hazelnut candies? That’s pretty much Nutella. Same makers. It’s actually better for you than peanut butter! You are going to LOVE it! They have it everywhere now, in the PB & J section!

Nutella is one of my weaknesses. If you ever make it to Chicago, go to Cafe Iguana (which also has the best crepes), and they have a dessert that is a Belgian waffle topped with vanilla ice cream and Nutella. It is to die for. (Of course, it could probably be made at home, but theirs is so good! Why is restaurant food always so much better? Is it because you don’t have to work for it?)

Oh my God, all of that was accumulated in the past year? Wow. Just wow. Just looking at that makes me want to clear out my closets and some of the other crap I have in my storage room in the basement.
Scary huh? I’m sure it’s taken you YEARS to collect all your stuff though. I’ve been having tosser’s remorse lately. Need to figure out some storage at my parents’ house before I start donating things willy nilly again.
