Flip flop season is almost over, although I can probably stretch them into a few more weeks. I need some new sneakers. Okay, I don’t need them. I just really want some. I have always been a Chuck Taylor kind of girl but after they quit making them in the US, they don’t fit the same so, I’m stuck with the maroon and wheat colored pairs I’ve had since middle school. They’re still in remarkable condition but have a look unto their own. I have my Vans sk8-his but they have a specific look also and I pretty much save them for nights that I just don’t care, or I’m going to see a band with an active crowd. I feel very secure in them. I also have 2 pairs of Saucony Jazz that I’m utterly sick of. The brown pair I never wear, and I’m on my second black and silver pair but they kill my feet. Oh, and there’s my favorite pair of Adidas for little boys that I got for $20 and they are beat. to. hell. {I’ve totally given up on my New Balance. The hardcore show days are over and they only make it to the gym (which is rarely)}.
What I want now is a pair of Onitsuka Tigers by Asics. I usually gravitate towards boy’s sneakers… or sneakers I’ve seen on guys first. A guy friend of mine has a ridiculous collection of these and I’ve loved them all but he pulls off the super bright ones with ease. My bf also has a few pairs and I wish they were a size 5 boys so I could steal them.
I’m definitely not into the bright color combos. Pink and purple shoes weren’t even my style when I was 5. These are what I’m debating on. Any of these would easily fit into my wardrobe, which means they will mainly be paired with cuffed skinny jeans and ankle socks. (all via Zappos)
My bf has these and they would work best with my wardrobe of mainly black. I like the texture of the mesh.
Light shoes scare me but the dark toe makes me less nervous.
Oh my god! I really don’t like gold but I want these soooo badly! Gold and silver snake and shiny black and sweet mesh! In a world where I would love to either go big or go home… these just may have to be mine. To hell with being practical!
