Wow! It’s been a while! Let’s get to it!
+
- I just got home from my second to last class this semester! Next Wednesday I have my final exam in History of the Middle Ages. I have one month off to find an apartment. Then on June 9, I start my LAST CLASS EVER – 7 weeks of Sociology of Deviant Behavior! Yay me!
- If you enjoy Flight of the Conchords, you will love this movie.
- It all started with the boy getting a box of the most delicious ice cream bars I have ever had in my entire life. Words cannot describe how ridiculous these things are and they can only be found in Northern VA! They taste like the ripest sweetest most delicious melon you have ever eaten. This past weekend, he introduced me to bubble tea at TT Lounge. I tried the honeydew melon slush with boba (god bless you tapioca) and I’ve already had 3 this week. I’m ordering stuff to make them at home. This could be a problem.

- Both a good and bad thing – I wrote a damn fine list of everything the boy and I will need for our first place together. (Good grief it’s a long list!) It’s been a lot of fun hitting hunting grounds like TJ Maxx and such, finding outstanding deals on French Laguiole steak knives with honey bees on them, a sleek one-handed pepper grinder, and simple stainless steel mixing bowls. I have yet to find the perfect whisk. I don’t think it exists.
-
- I have hunted high and low for the elusive perfect white t-shirt. Damn you American Apparel for your over-priced ill-fitting unisex deep v-neck tees and damn you GAP for for not having the $7 perfectly fitting deep v-neck tees I bought at your outlet store online anymore!
- Outlet prices at the Burberry store made no difference to my realm of possibilities whatsoever.
- Sifting through ads on Craigslist for apartments is truly one of the most frustrating things I’ve done. This is the first time I’ve ever had to look for a place and I don’t understand why rental agencies won’t make things easier for everyone and give some real information. Pets are allowed? Well, what’s the damn deposit? Huge bedroom? I’ll be the judge of that! Whip out a freaking tape measure! Some utilities included? Tell me which ones! Oh, and could they put up some pictures?!! That would be nice. So would a response to my emails.
- Senators who turn their backs on the voters and switch sides after they’ve been elected.
- The interview of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad by George Stephanopoulos really freaked me out this past Sunday morning. (That was all a real pain in the ass to spell out properly.)
