I love the painted look too! Those plaques you did turned out awesome. Keep an eye out of cast iron figurines like doorstops too. My dad has found dogs and horses and cats and birds. Enamel spray paint takes care of them.

Hahah yeah, can't really take over his place. I was nervous to even leave a toothbrush.

Yeah, the winter blahs are killing me! You know how it was in RVA... cold weather makes having adventures totally miserable and I'm sick of being cooped up and the idea of a bar is suffocating too. I need a good trip to Hollywood Cemetary!

Ohhh I love the robin's egg and turquoise collage you've got in the first one... and that Owl hanging...! I'm totally loving finding 3-d things and then painting them all solid... as this reminds me of some tacky kitschy thing from the late 70s that someone found and painted solid robin's egg blue. (Even if it was just manufactured to give off that feeling and is in fact cast in blue plastic from the get-go!)

I've been missing decorating a house / having a place of my own. Matt has his own place and I help with whatever ideas he has for things-- he's been totally overhauling quite a mess of a place, slowly but surely-- but I won't impose as far as how I'd decorate things if it were my own place.

Oh, le sigh. You have the winter blahs and I have no excuse, being in a permanent state of spring/summer.
