Damn you clearance sales!!!! Last night I vegetated in bed and took the time to peruse hundreds of pages of clearance sales online. They’re usually a disaster for me. My timing is terrible and all that’s left are x-smalls or xx-larges in hideous colors.
Well, last night I hit the jackpot. I stocked up on super cheap basics for layering and lounging around the house (my pajama situation has needed a serious overhaul), and I scored some really sweet deals on Target.com.
This sequined tunic was on sale for $6.24! With tights, it can make a pretty intense mini dress, or could be an interesting layering piece. The sequins are sewn on too.
This dress was $8.74! It’s one of the Go International offerings and is a satin fabric with a bold blue/black stylized plaid. I’m finding myself being drawn to this shade of blue more and more. The reviews on this were mixed. A lot of people complained about the burlap sack shape, as if no one can think for themselves, beyond the picture Target supplies. Belts anyone? I guess because I know how to sew, I’m usually not worried about hemming or taking things like this in. I do think those sleeves are going to need a bit of shortening. Maybe not. At this price you could shred it!
This is another $8.74 Go Int. dress. Black satin with interesting pleating at the sleeves. Some reviews referred to football shoulders. I really don’t know why anyone would buy something like this if they already have shoulder issues. This is such a classic shape, it will never go out of style.
The fun thing about online shopping is you can fill your cart to the brim and then after an hour, you can come back to it and remove anything you’re having second thoughts about.

That third one my friend Edra has and it is really cute and flattering. She had it on over black leggings and she had a belt around it and I loved it. So simple and versatile.
Those are all really cute and good for layering and mixing it up with a belt… and especially because you can sew, well worth it even if there are bad reviews or if something fits weird.

Yeah Edra’s highly fashionable… She likes to dress me up from time to time when I allow. :) I kinda am thinking (if I remember to get around to it) about getting myself that black number as well. The price is kind of a winner!
